Why the hell do people like Hannah Montana? She is just another plastic bimbo who is corrupting America's youth. Her TV show is horrendous and her music is the most fabricated sugar pop ever. Yet her tours sell out in every city and her concert movie made $29 million during Super Bowl weekend. Recent news reports indicate that she will be writing a memoir. Who in their right mind would publish, let alone read her story? Miley's Memoir, the story of how a talentless pubescent hack became a media powerhouse and multi-millionaire.

Two things: First, I doubt you've given her work a fair shake. You've probably heard her music or watched her show for a minute or so before deciding it was crap, while failing to realize that it's actually a cutting commentary on today's youth and their inability to express free thought, while also showing the issues they deal with in their attempt to conform to today's oversexed youth. Just because you think she's crap doesn't mean she is. Second, you're just being an ass because she's successful. Grow up asshole.
Concerned fan, regarding your comment that the show, "Hannah Montana", is some pretween reality show. Please, what audience do you think ABC wants its show to attract? 'Sophisticated' liberals who think every crumb is social commentary? Liberal arts graduates? Bloggers who over-project their importance? No. It's target audience is 6-12 year old, females usually, who have nothing else better to do on a saturday morning so they watch their "Hannah Montana"s or their "Yu-gi-oh"s or their "Animal Planet"s. 6-12 year olds aren't looking for some stimulating TV show that reflects their own personal experiences, they want cheap, simple, understandable laughs. Besides, why are you even watching a show made for 12 year olds anyways?

The point is, you can't hear about a person's experiences second hand. When you hear about things from someone else, they often get distorted, things are forgotten, etc.
For the second point, how does he know that she didn't earn her success when he doesn't watch her show or listen to her music?

I think if you experienced hannah montanah as a 12 year old or even a 15 year old, you wouldnt be complaining about her. but anyway thing is there are a lot of other teen celebrities out there way worse than hannah montana. Look at lindsey lohan, for i.e., all she does is party, drink, take drugs, and do drug rehab. You should actually be appreciating hannah montana cuz she actually works. she isn't abusing her fame, yet, and plus --she's jus another person trying to paint her american dream. no need to hate when it's all just the business of trying to make money. we need people like her for little kids to look up to and then thirty or forty years later and say, "remember hannah monatana?" Cuz hey, its just for childhood and we gotta keep the economy of music and entertainment running. on the less capatilastic side you should actually look at the lyrics to her songs and then judge.
